A show scores once per redditor who names it — so a reply that only says “came here to say this” or quotes a line adds nothing, even though it plainly is agreement. That undercounts the crowd favourites, whose comment trees are mostly catchphrase (“Omar comin’”, “not great, not terrible”), and it flatters shows named in list-form answers, where one person naming eight series scores all eight. The counts are a floor, not a verdict. The thread also refuses the premise in a way worth keeping: several answers are sports — the 2026 Stanley Cup final, a Knicks playoff run — because “series” means that too, and one answer is a BMW.
